So you're admitting he deserved the penalty, but saying you disagree with the rule.
It was a clear major and should be a suspension. You can't just skate across the ice and nail a guy from behind.
And generally i do cross the street
on a red light.
It was a hit from the side first of all. If you cross on the red, im saying penalty should be lessened for the "driver". If both doing something illegal or unwanted, driver shouldnt get eztra blame.
Aka normally the player bitz hit wouodnt be hurt from that hit so dont suspend him asa result of the injury
Bitz deserves a suspension. I'm sorry, he really does.
Intent to injure? No.
Reckless play by a fringe player? Yes.
WE both know that if that was a call-up from the kings taking out Hansen, Canucks Nation would be frothing at the mouth to see him strung up from the rafters.
Kings had a solid game last night. The first line was impressive, as was Richards. Doughty didn't really factor in.
All the goals were kind of ugly except Richards, but that was 5 on 3. Screens from the point both ways, a scramble with interference on Burrows goal and a lucky bounce off Carter's skate to Pancakes. Can't fault either goalie on those and Luongo was really solid otherwise.
The Canucks were in the game in spite of their parade to the penalty box. It's hard to get the lines rolling when you are continually taking penalties. The charging calls both ways and the snow shower were kind of weak, but other than that, most of the calls were legit. Way too many pucks over the glass! Hansen looked really good out there and was unlucky not to pot one. Raymond needs to be down in the bottom 6. If Daniel is still a no go, I'd like to see Lapierre-Sedin-Burrows, Booth-Kesler-Higgins, Raymond-Pahlsson-Hansen, and Kassian-Malholtra-Ebbet next game.
That was definitely not the Canucks A game, so I hope they come out more disciplined and determined next game. Kesler has to stop embellishing. It is so pathetic. He's supposed to be a Selke caliber player, a strong skater and and leader on this team. I hope Vignault sits down with him, shows him some game tape, slaps him really hard across his arrogant face and wakes him up so he actually focuses on playing hockey. And Bitz deserves a suspension for that stupid hit.
In a way I feel bad for Bitz. It was obviously the modus of the Nux to send a physical message and show that they won't be pushed around in these playoffs, contrary to the rep they got from the Finals. He was playing hard and made a bad play; I don't think he was trying to injure anyone, nor is he a dirty player. Still, the Canucks will have to find a way to answer the sort of game that Richards brings because it isn't just Richards alone, his compete level is infectious, I've seen it before.
Alberta hates the Canucks and perhaps even Winnipeg and after that it's scattered. Some eastern fans hate the Canucks but some like them so, I think it's fair to say the majority hate the Canucks.
Mmmmm no. There's no bitterness towards Winnipeg. Everyone is generally stoked to have another Canadian team, and it's cool to see Winnipeg fans appreciate having a team back.
Alberta hates the Canucks, yes. Love the city, hate the players.
Also, that tweet did not win more fans for the Canucks. It made everyone laugh, save for the few uninformed bandwagon fans who never watch hockey and cheer for VAN because, "They're from Canada! Canada's team!"
I hate the kings, but that was sweet justice after how this GDT has been going.
what the nucks fans, and im guessing the coaching staff failed to realize about this 8 seed is that they are in the top 3 for puck possession this season. you are actually going to be a little worse off if you maintain 5 on 5 for lengthy periods of time. obviously trying to draw penalties will help, but the nucks PK has to step up.

Could say the same for the Kings but they drew a major penalty from turtling and two other penalties. It really is annoying when you see players put themselves in very "vulnerable" positions when they turn to the boards when someone is about to hit them. Good on Clifford for taking it like a champ. Too bad he actually did get concussed.
Nice job addressing the issue at hand.
Poster 1: "Vancouver doesn't dive any more"
Poster 2: "You must have missed last night's dive fest"
This kind of stuff HAS actually been absent from our game for the majority of this season - to see it return like this in game 1 of the playoffs is actually kinda sad.
