Disobeying the coach is vilified within the brotherhood. There is a culture of this, Tags knows this, that's why he didn't want players singled out. Goodell doesn't because he has no respect for them.

As long as "the brotherhood" is the way it is I am not worrying much about NFL players being drooling cripples at age 50. These guys actively celebrate and enforce a "life is cheap, victory/money is everything" mentality reminiscent of street gang life and how can anyone do anything to stop them from bashing each other's heads in if that's what they believe?

I've never seen a hockey player described with street gang life, yet many NHL players have the same criticisms of the NHL as football players have of the NFL, outside of the completely obvious(skin color) what separates football players from hockey?
