Clowe is gonna go to the habs for a 3rd round pick and Sebatien Collberg and Chia is gonna come back and say the prices were too high at the deadline.
Yup. It's been his standard operating procedure lately. He goes into the season with a ton of cap space and claims he's got flexibility to do something at the deadline if need be. When push comes to shove, he stands pat and then claims the cost to obtain was too high.
The image of Ribiero in the spoked B is one of those horrific things you just cannot unsee...like walking in on your parents in the act. There is not enough soap in the world to cleanse my eyes, and my brain, from that picture....mental or otherwise.
No. ****ing. Way.
Come on, you can't picture Ribeiro coming out on TD Garden ice for warm ups while "A Warrior's Call "is blaring over the loudspeakers!

Meanwhile, 2nd line wingers are traded for mid level prospects and 3rd rounders.
The powerhouse Bruins can add a big name or two thanks to the deft salary-cap maneuvering by GM Peter Chiarelli.
Some B’s fans are salivating the possibilities that are out there.
But the GM wants everyone to know it’s not written in stone he’ll hit the home run.
"Just because we have cap space doesn’t mean we’ll make a blockbuster trade," Chiarelli said Tuesday.
Groundhog Day !
The issue has never been cap space, it's they pulled a Rob Deer on the 2007-2009 drafts and they don't have the movable assets you'd be okay giving up for an impact rental.

IF he only brings in a grinder and a 5th or 6th D-man ..... I'm going to be pissy
This should be our year... specially with 9 million or more to spend !!! Yes have too think of next year but there should be no reason for not getting a top 6 player that can score .. GO BIG PC you can chose after the playoffs if you keep Horton or the NEW GUY ...

To be fair...they've stood pat at exactly 1 deadline. Last year's, and no one of value really changed hands.
Previous year they did anything but stand pat.
The year before they acquired Seidenberg (who they should have signed in the offseason, but they by no means stood pat)
The year before that they acquired Recchi.
So we have a sample size of one season standing pat and a quote a month before the deadline that cap space doesn't mean a big acquisition, which is true because you need to exchange assets to get that player.

Pffft come on ... get real ... we'll never win a cup with that cheapskate Chiarelli at the helm.
You pretty much described what Lucic used to do all the time. Clowe would come in, look good a few games, then just be JAG. Just another guy.
Its a team wide issue with physical play. Has nothing to do with personnel. Horton/Lucic/Paille/Marchand/Campbell etc. should have no problem consistently laying the body heavy. Another banger doesn't do anything to change that.
They need another guy who can give you second chances in the offensive zone by winning battles and coming up w/ pucks. 3rd line especially. How many times do you need to see a 5'10" Dman close off Kelly by simply standing against the boards and not moving? And, yes, hopefully it's someone that also possesses offensive skill.
Bruins left to many goals out there- they had probably 5 chances to get the fourth one; the Caps are not a good team and would have folded up.
This is a serious grind as it is for all and Boston's third game in four days
I'd rather have another guy like Matt Hendricks who played very well to add to the lineup at a cheaper cost (although after tonight and how has been playing they need him, and certainly other teams would inquire- he lengthens your lineup and fortifies your bottom 6)
I know Ference is the guy whose name suddenly appears above the gallows but he looked pretty good tonight....my kid was down with Susan the other day and said the same thing he's been sick (those girls know more than they let on and have impeccible sources aint that right Ladyfan)
Well some sources but more often what I see and hear because of where our seats are.
You are way more of an insider than me.
I won't share everything here because it could hurt the team and as Mama Grizz I can not ever let that happen. Sometimes things people tell me are not meant to be posted here and if I did post everything here I would no longer be included in any info.
You know how that goes Dan ..I know there are things you can't always share.

Can you blame the guy? When he actually does make a "big" move, people kill him for giving up Too much in the deal.
Many in the press and on these boards cried foul when Colborne was included in Kaberle deal.
Yes, that Joe Colborne.
And don't even get me started on Peter Kalus to MIN in Fernandez deal - yes DKH, I'm looking at you.

A 1st. I was upset they included the 1st. Kaberle wasn't waiving for anyone else, Toronto wasn't contending and didn't want him anymore. Colborne and a 2nd should have been more than enough.
