Pretty sure the coaches from around the league wouldn't have voted him rokie of the year if he had attitude problems..I know for a fact he is currently 6'1 and over 190 because I know his trainer..some of which will be lost i'm sure as he's able to train harder on his healed leg. I think he'll be ready depending on the team. The same as Keilly, depends on the team he gets drafted by and their needs.. If both get drafted by teams that need these guys to step in they can if not they are both capable of returning to midget to further develop.
Sorry he just looked a little thin on the ice when I saw him play in the playoffs.. Regardless, about the attitude, i to have talked to many people from the island and lots of people agree that he has one. I wouldnt say its a problem but he often gets frustrated on the ice and sometimes he will just quit on a shift letting his frustration get the best of him. Theres no use of talking about this anyways.. Lets just talk about players playing styles and where they will get picked.

Whats everyones view on Bishop? I think hes a late first at best but does anyone know why he was ranked so high? He must have had a great combine because he was one of the only atlantic born forwards there.. Where does everyone see him going??

I agree, stick to playing styles and where players will get picked but in all fairness you were the one who threw out the attitude problem suggestion on a public forum so I believe it's only fair to counter with the view and opinions I have heard and been told from many credible sources such as Islanders coach Jeff MacDonald & Team Atlantic coach Eric Bissonnette.

Anyway enough about that, I am under the opinion that Island kids Keilly & Gallant could very well make an impact next year in the Q while McCabe is going to need some refining but love his game and think he will be a beast with some fine tuning

I personally feel Gallant and Kielly could play in the Q next year and make an impact. But like earlier said, for any player it depends what team they get drafted to. For example if Kielly got drafted to Saint John and Gallant would get drafted to Halifax, Kielly would be in the Q and Gallant would probably be back in midget. On McCabe I agree a year back in midget or Jr. A would be good for him to work kn his decision making skills and he could definetly use some work on his offense.
And I apologize about bringing up the attitude problem I was just told by a few of my friends on the Island who thought he did. But forget about it know, no scouts are gonna see this stuff anyways

Didn't impress at the Atlantics in the big games against Moncton....

I doubt Gallant would be represented by Larry Kelly of Octagon Sports if the firm did not believe in his hockey talent and character as a person... His clients include Yzerman. Lucic, Ryan Miller and Savard to name a few
Enough on this subject ...let's stick to hockey abilty

No disrespect but this statement actually made me laugh....seriously no disrespect but it was my actually reaction. Mostly because I got into the agency business a few years ago and I got out because ethically I don't think you can do it and be true to the client unless your Jerry McGuire

Trust me Larry Kelly, Don Meehan, Rich Winter or any of the big agents will not care or do very much for a player if they feel they aren't going to make money off of them.

Likewise if they think they can make money off a player they don't care whether or not the have a good attitude or a bad one.

Sorry but in the end MONEY TALKS in the agency business and I don't care how anyone tries to spin it. And normally the agents are the ones trying to spin it.

I agree with Q7 in that with agents it is all about the money. That said, a good attitutde is important. I have talked to a few scouts - 2 I know from old hockey days - who tell told me that attitude can be sometimes as important as talent. In fact, they said that sometimes when a couple of kids are close talent wise, it is a kids attitude that becomes the deciding factor when it comes to selection time. The conversation was such that they seemed to research as much about the kids off-ice activities and performance as the on-ice. This might be an organizational thing however I'm sure that team chemistry is important to all organizations. Hockey is about roles, roles require good, solid attitudes because a leading scoring in Midget AAA can become a PK specialists in the Q/Jr. A in a heartbeat. Just my 2 cents worth.

.... back on topic.... MacIntyre and Trickett are D who could step into the right situation and contribute next year in the Q. I understand both had a good showing at the combine. Has anyone heard the lastest on where these guys could end up? There was talk of Cape Breton and Halifax and I know we'll have to be patient for a little longer but I thought I would ask.

I know rumours don't normally happen but hasn't MacIntyre been talking NCAA route?

Could be true. I seem to remember reading that he was a good student. His dad played in the US at U of Maine I think. What about Trickett? Is Halifax still in the mix?
