class act Thornton is when Commodore smashes his head into the glass you can see Thornton immediately hold up and the linesmen come in, the look on Commodore's face at the end tells the story, rough one for him
No idea why Commodore obliged him when they're up 4-0.
Commodore is trying to play for a new contract as well. So you gotta do some things you normally might not do. The Lightning were in control of the game at that point and still won 6-1 despite being out shot 34-17 so it's not like the game was drastically changed because of the fight.

Does the fact that Thornton can beat him up help him get a new contract.
Commodore went with him because he knew Thornton wanted to start something. He was getting rough with Malone earlier and in a 4-0 game, you know damn well Thornton was looking to start something. Commodore is a big veteran and is no stranger to fighting, so he chose to get it out of the way.
yea, but that clearly isn't a knockout. what the guy is saying is Thornton is a legit fighter, one of the best in the league and by going with him you get respect, but he won't knock you out most likely. i love Thornton but he doesn't have the same power as some of the other heavies.
