Felix Baumgartner is leaps and bounds closer to achieving his overall goal of freefalling at supersonic speeds. Today marks his first jump from a pressurized space capsule in Roswell, NM at an estimated 71,581 ft.

If you actually look at the link Kittinger is a part of this and this first jump was a "test" jump for the attempt to break Kittingers record.
