That's a double whammy as they improve and weaken a division rival.

Will be fascinating to see how the Bucs do this year.

They've gone from a team no one talked about, to a team everyone liked, to a complete and total disaster to end last season and now they are adding some experienced quality players to their young talent.

Holy crap $9.5M/yr for Nicks.

Dude definitely got paid. Good for him.

Thanks for the memories Carl, best of luck in Tampa (minus against the Saints).

Onto Ben Grubbs!

He's a good player but seriously, 31 million guaranteed for a guard?

Whoever our starting running back is certainly won't have any excuses with 3 pro bowlers and a very good young center.

Bucs are really stacking up so far in free agency. They could be a force next year.

And the guy is all class as he walks out the door, still mouthing off to people on Twitter, not acknowledging those who understood the situation or "good fans", although it seems like he didn't either. Thanks for the ring, but good riddance to someone who turned out to be a giant d-bag. Not the type of people we're interested in doling out big bucks to.

After reading your post I expected to see Nicks saying something like "I hope the levees break again". Considering a Saints fan wished him a heart attack I'd say he's reacted pretty mildly.

And my point is, what about all the Saints fan who are NOT wishing he gets a heart attack? No acknowledgement for us. That will show up in due course. If you're going to be a big talker on Twitter, it has to go both ways, or don't be on twitter. That's the nature of the beast, because it's too easy to hide behind your money.

I don't see anything wrong with what Nicks said....I don't think anyone wants other people wishing them death threats.

I've said enough times that it's not about death threats.

Why should he thank the fans anyway? I never get personally mad if someone from one of my teams leaves and doesn't profusely thank us on twitter or in the press, I mean come on now.

Grow up.

Yeah, really. Talk about misdirected anger.
