Wow. That guy couldn't believe there was no call. That's at least five games in the NHL, but I don't know how they'll handle the discipline on this one across the pond.

I'm pretty sure they slaughter your family's goats.
Wish we would have seen him at NHL level just once
I caught a rookie Tourney in London, Ontario 2010 I was looking forward to seeing Beach play and I think he got benched the game I was at for a game misconduct that happened in game one or two. The coaches were furious with Beach.
Anyway, Makarov stold the show with a hat-trick. Makarov is a great skater. I sometimes wonder how guys like Kruger get promised a full season in Chicago and guys like Makarov cannot even get a one game callup. I'm happy for Kruger, but Makarov was mishandled. Makarov lacks size and experience, there are more than a few guys in Europe that can play in the NHL. I don't know if Makarov will want to come back to N. America if things go well in the KHL. We still have his rights. I don't know how long we have Makarov's rights until....what year? anyone know that information?

Yeah, Q was too stubborn. We were rolling scrubs at times last year, especially when injuries hit, and there was no logical reason not to put him in for a game or two. English? Honestly, I am sure he knew enough hockey English to make due.

I was very high on Makarov as well, but he did nothing at Rockford to deserve a look. Nothing.
True.. but he did everything asked of him and more in training camp. He deserved to make the team out of camp, instead.. he gets sent down to Rockford and played mostly bottom-6 minutes for the majority of the season.
I was one of Makarov's biggest fans. I thought he could come in and potentially replace some of Versteeg's offense from a depth role. He was great in the London Rookie Tourney.. had a very strong camp.. it's just a shame he didn't get a chance to show what he could do in the NHL.

I imagine the training camp conversation went something like this:
Assistant: "So Q, how bout this makarov kid, eh?"
Q-"I don't know...i never heard of him before. But look at Fernando Pisani! He's still got it!"
