Not quite, I'm afraid.

Nailed it.

A phone call from Gretzky may have been slightly more influential than a couple David Staples blog posts.

One of the reasons I wanted Schultz is because he belonged to the Ducks.

For a team we lost the cup to, there is zero rivalry between us.
This would have reignited some old flames.

Speak for yourself, I hate the Ducks more than the Leafs and only slightly less than the Canadiens.

For me personally, I took away from that series a deep hatred for Pronger, but not the Ducks. The fact is they were the better team. It's not like the Leafs series where we should have won at least some of them.

This, one of the only players I hate.

What killed us was the league's decision to let the Ducks enjoy a delay long enough for them to heal before playing us and at the same time long enough for us to get rusty, negating the advantage one team is supposed to get when it dispatches its earlier opponents faster than its rival before making it to the finals. Plus the refs let go a lot of stuff that should have been called.

I have had a love-hate deal with Pronger.

Disliked him as a Blue.

Liked him in Edmonton.

Hated him in Anaheim.

Love him in Philly.

Yeah, I'm not impressed with what he did to McAmmond, but I would have liked it if he'd done it to Moen or Pahlsson.

Is it just us, or do other teams have a ridiculous schedule with long breaks almost every week, and then a plethora of games from Friday-Sunday

Here is the schedule until the new year for reference http://turristhegoalottawathewin.com...2012/#more-190

It's for attendance reasons. Small cities tend to draw better on the weekends. We actually have an awesome schedule this year with the majority of our home games on Fri-Sat nights. Usually that's when we get the biggest crowds.
