Team RUSSIA 2014: Forward #1
since no one else would do it ill do it and like the others:
14 forwards
7 defensemen
3 goalies
please make recommendations and comments about players in the KHL as i have very little knowledge about the KHL. especially for defensemen

why would you bother with the first four forwards? save yourself some time: Malkin, Ovechkin, Datsyuk, Kovalchuk. go on with #5.

Malkin hard to argue against all he has accomplished and the year he is coming off of, I think Datsyuk is next.

Yakupov, Tarasenko, or Kuznetzov could overtake one of them in two years

First four or five are pretty obvious, but I'll bite. Malkin is the undisputed top choice here.

Malkin #1. And the way he dominated the last IIHFWC makes this a no brainer.
I see Kovalchuk with the "C" though. He's a good leader and he's been the "clutchiest" player for Team Russia the past 10 years.

Last night an ESPN program was discussing how the Detroit Pistons needed a hero citing the heroes on the Detroit Tigers, Detroit Lions and no mention of the Detroit Red Wings. All this despite the Red Wings probably being the most succesful team in Detroit right now.
