Portland's talks with Minnesota on a Jamal Crawford deal are gathering momentum again, sources tell Y! Sports.

Portland's talks with Minnesota for Jamal Crawford are part of a 3-way scenario with Lakers, source says. Michael Beasley would go to LA.
I still think Beasley can be a force if he can put it all together. Maybe playing for the Lakers will bring out the best in him..

Rumor is the trade has been submitted but Dan Gilbert and Mark Cuban need to sign off on it first since the Lakers are involved.

Minnesota automatically loses on the grounds that they are making a trade with 2 competent organizations.

I'd take Beasley in a nano-second. Not like the Lakers would be giving up a whole lot.

What would the Blazers get in return? Crawford has been one of the few players playing well this year...

good one!

as for the trade i was hearing that the Lakers were moving Steve Blake as part of it but that does not make sense since Blake has been closing games at PG and crawford is more sg than pg?

*edit* oh i see its blake to POR/crawford to MIN/beasley to LA

then LA will go after Ramon Sessions to replace Blake...now it makes sense i approve!

I really hope it's Blake and like 2 1sts, because other wise it's a terrible tanking trade.

The Lakers were seven minutes from acquiring Minnesota forward Michael Beasley, but Timberwolves owner Glen Taylor blocked an agreed-upon three-team trade right before the deadline that would have sent Fisher to Minnesota, not Houston, according to a person with knowledge of the situation. The trade also would have involved Portland.

I think the Lakers missed out pretty badly, actually. I thought Beasley would have flourished in LA. Too bad for them.
