The Caps beat the Rangers in 5 last year with Michael "Where the hell is the puck, oh **** it's behind me" Neuvirth, and will most likely have Vokoun starting this year.

I give them a very good chance.

Don't care about point totals in the standings. I'm talking head to head.
Callahan, Richards, improved bottom 6, more experience defense and add to the fact that the Caps have been horribly inconsistent this year with regressions from OV, Green and Semin.

You named one player, who at least going by the stats has been pretty ordinary this year anyway. Why don't you mention all of the players the Rangers are adding?

Last year Caps were 1st, NYR were 8th. Now it's the reverse! I'd love to see that series, should be a tough one. I can see it now, after Gaborik scores the series winner, Dale Hunter cheapshots him and he misses the next round lol.

The way the Southeast is going, the Capitals might be the #3 seed before it's all said and done.

I think they're first round fodder.

Vokoun is done for the year.

Honestly I hope they let Holtby play. He is the better goalie and the experience will help in the future.

And the Rangers owned the regular season last year against the Caps and we all know how much that helped during the playoffs right?

All you gotta do is make it in the playoffs (something the caps are still working on), after that, it can go any which way.

Gotta make the PO first before they can do any damage in playoffs!

No I hear this every year and it's especially untrue this year.

There's a thread like this for the Devils and Sens too. Apparently, every team is a dark horse team.
