Look for Vancouver to get bounced in first round again and Sedins crying again while baby Kesler isn't ready to play serious hockey yet.
They were pushed aside the last time they played and the Sharks are in no way better now than they were then. Perhaps defensively but I don't think the Sharks have what it takes anymore. Their window has all but slammed shut.

Who knows. I keep thinking its this year. Sharks sure seem to be built for playoff hockey and have the elite talent.
I think they're a better club this year despite the standings. I was scared they would face LA in first round but they get the gongshow Canucks which is a whole lot easier for them.
Sharks should be able to lean on the Nucks and have a physical edge. Of course they wouldn't ever have that against LA.
^why does this guy trash the Oilers elsewhere and then come here to talk hockey on our board? Just go away, you're not fooling anyone with your two-faced bs.

I don't think I said anything wrong to get a response like that.

It just feels like the Sharks are barely talked about as a force this year. I haven't heard Joe Thorton's or Patrick Marleau's names in a very long time. Courtue seems to be the leader of that team now.
And to think the Leafs could have had him if they didn't deal for Vesa...

Sleeper team. My darkhorse pick this year.
Sharks without pressure could be just the thing they need to get rolling.
Funny thing about this season in both East and West is how the frontrunners have died down and are looking pretty ordinary. Its a tough playoffs to call.
This just occured to me, but Columbus probably should be in the playoffs if it wasn't for that one game where I think Paajarvi scored a short handed goal towards the end of the game but we were badly (BADLY) outplayed.
We had zero business winning that game, I actually remember being disgusted that we did win it.
EDIT: It was the Feb. 10th game in Columbus. They totally deserved that game. They outshot us 40-14, lol.

Columbus botched two games against us. There was that first game that you mentioned and they were mere minutes away from getting at least a single point (which would have put them in the playoffs) during our last meeting.
