Hanifin -> Less physical Doughty (he has the size, just needs to use it)
White -> Bergeron
Konecny -> Datsyuk was the first name that popped into my mind... Konecny's skating ability, dangling ability, puck-stripping ability, ankle-breaking ability, shot, size, work ethic on the ice, and vision are all reminiscent of Datsyuk.
Barzal -> Duchene, in terms of speed, hands, and vision, but I don't love the comp there.

McDavid is McDavid, there really isn't a player to compare him to. And I want to say Erik Karlsson for Kylington but that feels lazy.
Thanks for the info. I have not seen Konecny play and it looks like I should.

You definitely should; he's one of the most entertaining players in this draft. Take it with a grain of salt that I'm a huge Konecny fan, and even I will admit that he can try to do too much at times, but he's immensely talented and hard-working.

I disagree on Hanifin! I feel he can be very physical when it's needed ...that's what makes him so good..... He won't go out headhunting if all he needs to do I poke check the puck away...he's a very smart player

I'm not saying he's weak or that he gets pushed around, because he absolutely doesn't, but he doesn't go out of his way to play physical because, as you said, most of the time he doesn't need to.

What would you guys say the top 20-30 picks would be if we combine the 2013 prospects and 2015 prospects?

Would Mckinnon still be a top 3 pick? Just wondering how you guys would rate the first round if they were combined.

Noticing there is a lot of right handedness in this year's 1st round. Awesome, because the Flames need some.

I wonder why no one mentions Denis Malgin (SUI/RUS). Right-handed, very skilled center. Good playmaking abilities. Scored 3g,4a in 5gms at this years U18 WC in Sochi. He's small (5-9, 80kg) but surely will grow. Comparable to Robbi Fabbri imo.

He got selected 12th overall in the 2014 KHL Draft, highest non-russian player.

A bit OT, but has anyone done a real early 2016 NHL mock draft anywhere? Thanks in advance.

Too lazy to do a combined draft, but I think Mack still goes top three. Top 2 IMO

I'd probably put MacKinnon behind McDavid and Eichel.

Eichel's hype right now feels kind of like how Kessel was hyped the year before his draft.

Mac probably goes 2. I don't think he was that far behind McDavid if at all as a prospect. I would probably place Jones ahead of Eichel and Hanifan too. With Drouin, and Barkov equal to Eichel and Hanifan. After that it is a crapshoot.

What's your take on Nolan Patrick and Brett Howden? Are they close to top 40?

Konecny reminds me most of Getzlaf or a center version of Ovechkin. Not the same personality as Ovi by any means but he's physical, can be hot-blooded, and has electrifying ability as well as a great shot. Datsyuk is a good comparison but I feel Konecny is more physical.

Datsyuk can play physical if he wants. I agree that Konecny is more feisty but he's definitely not Getzlaf or Ovechkin.

I would put Strome a little bit higher, but overall very solid!

Jumped the gun quite a bit there. Mantha hasn't played an NHL game yet so that's my bad haha. Nichushkin is insane and I love the way he plays.
