Story of habs drafting outside of 05 and 07. Better players still on the board while the habs usually end up taking someone with little hockey IQ and not to much talent.

Imagine the scouting team was a bit more on the ball and managed to get Carter + grioux + bergeron. How many finals or cups you think we would of had with those 3 down the middle?
Let's see... zero?

Carter get traded for nothing because he like to party too much.
Giroux doesn't make it as a young centerman because his 2way game isn't good enough.
Bergeron get stuck behind Desharnais for no valid reason, end up being used in a strictly shutdown role by coach Michou.

That's how things works in Habsland.

More like habs beat the flyers because they have no Giroux/Carter. With stop sign Halak leading the way and no useless Gomez on the 1st line.

Then habs go on to win the cup that year.

And Bergeron would not have to worry about DD or Michou because he would of been a cornerstone of the team before MB/MT/DD even had a sniff of the habs. Odds are with those 3 Gainey is still GM'ing here after winning 2 or 3 cups and pulling off a massive trade in moving Price for a huge return!

Pretty much it.

I wanted Carter in 2003. I was speechless when we drafted AK. But let's be realistic for a second. There's no way, absolutely no *** way that Carter plays more than 5 seasons here. And the return for him after our media would have destroyed his credibility would have been bad.

As I said above we just need him for the Halak run. Remove Carter and Giroux from the flyers that year and put them on the habs and its easy sailing to the finals. That also means no Gomez (no McD trade either).

But its all hypothetical. Maybe without Richards Carter doesn't become a party animal. Who knows.

Just think the team would have been way better with Carter/Giroux/Bergeron down the middle during the G&G era. With those 3 good chance we never see MT or MB here either. No DD as well.

Does he wear a Hawaiian shirt? Because only fat guys and Party Animals wear Hawaiian shirts. And we know he isn't a fat guy.

Maybe Gainey would of taken a nice walk with him in the park like he did with Kovalev and set Carter straight.

Odds are maybe his career would of been derailed playing in Montreal with all the party options. He should be thanking TT for taking Kots over him.
