Don't forget those manipulative diamond commercials primarily encouraged by companies such as de Beers, who holds a monopoly over the world's supply and artificially create false scarcity in order to justify obscenely high price levels. Come show your love for the woman you love with an entirely useless piece of carbon that some poor little impoverished African child likely slaved to extract. She will love you forever! (or at least until the next commercially invented holiday when you will have to outdo your last gesture)

Welcome to the LA thread. I don't agree with your advice or comment (which has worked for many other dudes here); therefore you are X or Y insult. LOL, right guys? YEAH!

In his defence, it's hard to look foolish when everyone else has the same mentality and subscribes to the same tactics.

I would suggest that such tactics aren't merely restricted to the Lady Advice Thread. They seem to be endemic in real life discussions and elsewhere online. Unfortunately, many people are too lazy to actually take the time to craft a defensible position and instead go for the low-hanging fruit (i.e. aspects of their opponent).

True. For the ones that do here I make sure to address every point, which leads to my now infamous long posts. But I'd rather actually debate it or talk about it then go the "NO YOU" route that so many of the 'popular' clique people here do.

Also, low hanging fruit made me think of some good advice for you guys tonight: go to bars. If you see a girl sitting alone nursing a drink with nobody around her, then be bold and go right up to her and buy her a drink. Chances are she's sad that she has no date for this 'special day', already has a few in her and is looking to make a mistake she will regret for the rest of her life. Be that mistake, boys.

Tonight I'm going the texting route, (same thing, really) but if you want to get out on the town I highly recommend it.
