What exactly are you looking for? Checked my sources, and I'm now more or less sure he is a Russian, born in Seversk (or Tomsk), at some point moved to Sokil, got capped by Ukrainian youth team and supposedly ended his career before the millenium. And his surname is correctly spelled Koves
hnikov. The draft of former Soviets was a one giant crap shoot at that time, Koveshnikov was a centre with nice size, so Stars too a punt on this guy probably without seeing this him play once..
