I would have had him playing center in the AHL last year, i don't think he should have ever been in the NHL during his rookie or sophmore seasons. He's a flat out excellent AHLer, i have little doubts that he could adjust to center at the AHL level. H may not be a center right away at the NHL level, but the experience would be invaluable and allow him to possibly move there after another full NHL season.

Putting MPS down the middle will not help the faceoff situation. I think one of the main things EDM wanted Lander to work on in AHL was his faceoffs. Lets see if he can get to 50%.
I like alot of your posts.
Nelsons move of Magnum to the RW was a solid move considering Maggie does have a great slapper and tends to create more off that side.
Our NHL club is stacked at that position though.
I have often thought about Magnus at Centre due to his size and defensive ability. Draws of course are the main concern left. Lander did very well on the draw as a rook and does have a pretty good offensive mind. In my opinion the Oilers are prepared to take a few years of waiting on Lander though. I see Lander arriving in Edmonton FT about the same time as Belanger leaves.

I think Edmonton is gonna stand strong with Magnus and stick with him. He has some great tools and has been nothing but a good pro and teammate. He might spend one more year in the A, he might not, but the oilers will stick with him unless a real good offer comes along that is a no brainer improvement.

OffTOPIC but i do believe Krueger hinted (not very subtly) that Hemsky will need to be open to going to the LW.

Hall RNH Yaks?/Eberle
Hemsky Gagner/PRV Yaks?Eberle
Harti Horcoff PRV
Eager Belanger Petrell/Jones

Out of everyone i can see Gagner, hemsky and jones being available... barker is obvious.
