Everyone should hit there penny collection. Then at the start of the 1st period throw it on the ice. That should be enuff to pay the players there redicolous demands.

BEST. IDEA. EVER
Baseball fans did it with garbage, throwing pennies on the ice would be hilarious. Afterwards they can donate the ones that are in a roll to charity.
I dont know if I am done yet. But I have learned to live without the NHL.
I have Rangers season tickets. I had a couple of years recently where I went to 50+ games (home and away). I have been to 16 NHL arenas.
I think the only thing keeping me going is knowing Rangers tickets have a really good resale value. I dont know if thats going to take a hit.
As individuals, players are fighting for more money in one season that many of us may take 10 years to make..or maybe even a lifetime of earnings. I am having a hard time relating to this labor dispute.
Actually I side with the NHLPA and not the NHL. Players have already conceded enough imo.
But the idea of throwing pennies even if it's in rolls is a huge sign of F you imo.
Throw plus tomatoes. Noone gets hurt, and the tomatoes can be donated as dog chew toys.
also, I just spent $140 to join a low level hockey group. You guys don't want to play hockey? i can get my fix. Now,to spend more money tricking out my new equipment(seeing as my shin pads are hilariously bulky and my hockey pants shrunk in the wash) $$$
Nah, pennies would be dangerous to fans, players, and officials alike. Plus would be a pain in the ass to get out of the ice as they kind of melt the surface and imbed almost instantly.

That's an idea I think would gain enough media attention.
Fan anger shown on TV would resonate from the players to the owners. It did with baseball after the 1994 strike and MLB haven't had a strike/lockout since.

That idea is trash and it's irritating to see when people recommend throwing garbage on the ice just because they're upset. Have some class.

I am watching the crap out of the EPL/Champions League and Budisliga. Even saw matches in Dortmund and Old Trafford. I was always a fan but it took a back seat to the NHL. From now on it will be the other way around. As I know soccer will always be there and hockey....who knows form one CBA to the next.
I find it funny one Fehr left the baseball scene things have moved along swimmingly there in regards to CBAs.
