Lindholm wore 5 for Rogle so I think he was waiting for 5 to be available. I imagine he'll switch next season.

If they do switch numbers, I could see Lindholm taking 5, or something in the 20's like 24

Gee, I hope not. People around here seem to have a habit of running #5 out of town.

Maybe Lindholm takes 5 and reverses the curse like Cogs did with 7

Lindholm would look good in 5 and Vats in 44, IMO. Their numbers right now look a little funky.

A Swedish defenseman wanting to wear number 5? Who would have thunk it?

Christian Backman's time in Columbus must have inspired him to take that number. I can't think of anyone significant who wore it.

Yawney wore 5 for a couple years in Chicago, Hampus is obviously trying to brown-nose for extra ice-time.

Perhaps you forgot that before he was the next Crosby he was going to pack the Pond. He was totally untradeable because he was a marketing godsend. SoCal finally had one of their own and Anaheim was going to become the next Toronto. Sometime after that he became the next Crosby.

Lindholm has had a rough last few games (imo), but I do think he has the potential to be an all around #1. Whether he reaches that potential remains to be seen, but the defenseman that reach that stage are not only few and far between, but rarely/if ever are available for trade. The closest that comes to mind is the Rangers dealing for McDonagh, but I can't imagine Montreal does that trade if they knew what he would become. I hope that he continues to progress and be the stud we need him to be.

Magnus has looked injured/totally exhausted for the last 8-10 games or so. The first burst of speed and strength he had earlier in the season are totally gone. Looks timid and slow out there.

Lingering injury?

Or the sophomore slump some people were afraid of. He wore down at the end of last year as well.

I don't see Vatanen changing his number.

I was hoping Vatanen would switch to #9. #4, #5 and #9 on defense. Yum.

i thought he looked fine in the last two games.

a little scramble mode at times, but that is to be expected when most of your team is playing like crap.

if hes injured we need to stop playing him. same with getzy who was injured for a very brief time.

this is the regular season. IDGAF if they sit out the next 20 games as long as they can play at 110% for the PO's.

It's become like Russians with 17 and variations from it. Another emerging one is Canadian defensemen and 27, although that one's not nearly as prevalent.
