If this is true, smart on Buffalo stupid on Edmonton. I understand the need for Miller and that should be the primary target, but there is not much of a need to Vanek and it would just cost more assets that likely wont be worth a pending UFA.
Edmonton should just continue to be horrible since that's what they've excelled at the last 6 years and learn to draft better instead of trading for two UFAs: they have nothing of value other than their good young offensive players, trading them for two UFAs would be silly
You know what? Now that I think about it, it does fit Edmonton's MO of: "we don't think very far ahead very often"
