Hey who won Bill M. Award? Was it the guy w/2 back surgeries, blood clot&infection, missed 1 yr,2 sets of iv for 3mo at a time, traded, allstar?
For those children saying the award doesn't mean anything you should do some research. It is a puerile thought. Look up Bill Masterton on google and do some research. The dude died while playing a game in the NHL. Have some friggin respect.
I'm gonna pull a Dr. Recchi and say it couldn't have been that bad, considering he was tweeting from a movie theatre less than a week after the injury occurred.
I had ****ing whiplash from a hit from behind in highschool football. I had such bad symptoms that I was out of class for the better part of two weeks. I didn't watch tv, or really do much at all. For as bad as it looked, I just don't know how bad it could have been, considering the speed of his recovery.
Nathan Horton was at the Bruins playoff game couple days after being hit by Rome. Hockey rinks are bright and loud. That doesn't mean it wasn't 'bad'. Horton still has issues with it.
I guess Pacioretty has to get re-concussed for it to be deemed a 'worthy' concussion.

He was also able to travel with the Bruins to Vancouver for Game 7, where as Marc Savard didn't because he wasn't able to and he also had a concusion.
i still think the patches hit was clean, it was just a good old hockey play gone terrible wrong
He didn't win the award because he got hit badly during the course of the game. If that's the case, then why didn't Hossa automatically win it?
I'm disappointed on a personal level that For Joffrey - think it would have been a special little treat for him given what he's accomplished his past year.
But to say that Max didn't deserve it is just sickening and classless.

Right after the hit many felt that way. Today? Even most of the haters admit it was a suspension without a doubt. You must be an uber-hater or a casual hockey fan.
