O'Byrne, O'Brien, and Zanon are just some of the worst NHL defenders I have EVER seen.
Never seen an NHL team with so many slow moving defensemen with ZERO puck skills and some of the most stupid decision making I've ever seen. Pathetic.
Our forwards were alright, but really, can you blame them for the defensemen not being able to make simple breakouts happen?
Ugh... ****ing scratch O'Byrne that guy has been the worst Dman on our squad for the last week+ and that is saying something with how bad O'Brien and Zanon have been.
I was saying it last year, and I'll keep on saying it.
This team is really not big or strong enough with the forwards to play the traditional "Dump and Chase" technique.
I know it's a Hockey standard, to dump it in and go get it, but I think that you need a team with some big forwards, for me SJ springs to mind, that can be effective along the boards in getting the puck back.
When we dump it in, it just really seems that we are just conceding possession of the puck, because I feel that we only get the puck back about 10% of the time.
There is just no options on defence. Once Johnson is done his shift, may as well mail in the thought of any sort of breakout next shift. This needs to be fixed asap. It is so painful watching Zanon-O'Byrne, O'Brien-Hejda, Hunwick. It is actually laughable thinking about where these guys would be on a good team.

Defence isnt good enough to make it to the playoffs. We need 2 more strong D and one of Barrie or Elliott to step up and play well for us to go a decent way.
I would be surprised if we made the playoffs, can't lose games like this.
This isn't a playoff team. The only wins the Avs have relied heavily on goaltending against weak opponents. Just wait till the Avs play the heavyweights of the western conference. It will get ugly. Remember San Jose?
To be honest I had no problems with our top two lines tonight I think Sgar needs to be bumped up his creativity is apparent but sacco wants him to be Wyatt Smith
This one hurt, but hey look at our injuries, i feel like our team is stepping up offensively (PAP, Staz), sadly we still have an Beer League team defensive core... once we get our forwards back i hope we keep the effort level up like this.
