Literally 2 years ago. Honestly I have no reason to think this will happen. Simply shouldn't be playing in the NHL, and him and Fistric should not be on an NHL d-corps, let alone the same pairing, at the same time.

How about we get some mobile D with puck skills and good hockey sense that can push the pace of play forward and transition quickly instead of "physical" oafs that don't know which direction they're facing.

With Eager and his concussion, it probably isn't best for him to be the fighter right now.

It would have been nice to see Theo being an aggressor out there though. He isn't an NHL regular otherwise.

If Eager isn't a fighter/agitator, he's useless. If he cant play that game, stick him on IR until he can

Sometimes it takes a year to clear the cob webs from a concussion. Just look at Eager last season compared to this season. Peckham is far from a lost cause.

...and just out of curiosity. If Peckham and Fistric are on the same pairing at different times, is that okay?

This team needs more of this.

We can't afford to get any softer.

Good god... if we can't have some physicality on the bottom pairing with guys like Fistric/Peckham when there's so little physicality in the rest of the lineup then the Oil will always be doormats.

Nothing wrong with having a player like Peckham in the lineup. Again that's with the proviso that he plays like he did 2 years ago. I agree he wasn't great last season but the guy "should" be coming into his prime and still improving. I think he's worth a longer look to see if he can bring that physicality and be good enough defensively to help in a bottom pairing role.

He'll be back against Dallas. against the high flying Hawks I don't think Kreuger wants to take the chance that both Fistric and Peckham are going to go out of their way for a hit

Put him out there against bigger teams makes sense. It was hard seeing Petry and Schultz try and knock Benn and Jagr off the puck.
