For everyone complaining about refs, try this: http://www.debatabledecisions.com/tables

Stoke DEFINITELY benefit from a lot of bad decisions. No disagreement there.

As a Villa fan, I was shocked to hear this. As a human being, I am sad for him but I know he will give it a good fight and kick its arse.

Arsenal and Spurs all tied with Arsenal having a 1 goal lead in differential.

Gunners have 4 of 7 left at home, while Spurs just have 3 of 7 at home.

However Spurs have a much easier group of teams to play. They would average 15th in the table. Arsenal have to play a group that would be in 9th.

Would love 3rd, but will happily take 4th at this point. Chelsea not making Champs League would be priceless.

Interesting stat: since Paul Scholes returned, United have taken 28 of 30 possible points in the league.

As Sky Sports studio noted, if United win their remaining games, they will set a new points record. All that despite sucking so much and having injury issues in October-November.

You wouldn't rather play comfortably mid table teams than a bunch of desperate teams fighting for their lives against relegation?

Damien Comolli's been removed as Liverpool DOF. Also sacked the doctor.

Think this may be in part to everyone having reviewed the summer targets and not liking who Comolli had in mind. IMO.

Not sure I agree really. I think it's more along the lines of he spent a ton (although a lot of it was Torres cash) and they're not good enough on the pitch.

Kenny, for what it's worth, is falling on the sword saying they're his buys, but I wonder if that's not press nonsense and not so much the reality. I also wonder if he's asking to do more with less, and might not have wanted to go that route.

Kenny may as well have done so just so he doesn't have to answer the endless drivel of questions from media about it.

I think it's a combination of all factors. They also said they don't expect future changes of significance so the DOF role may be eliminated, I don't know.

We have to be ruthless in order to move forward, and that was done in this case. Clearly our transfer dealings were not in any way acceptable. I am happy.

BBC reporting that Cruyff is one of the targets for the DOF role at Pool.

http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/17698239

Wow and that is all I can come up with to say about that.

I've also read David Dein is also being rumored for the position?

The "official word" on this is that Dein is visiting a number of clubs to celebrate 20th anniversary of PL...gather from that what you wish.

Cruyff? After wondering what FSG was thinking for a long time, this shows ambition. I am highly intrigued and excited about the prospect of this.

Cruyff is definitely not going to happen according to the Daily Fail.

But I'd take a run at Txiki Begiristain and see what happens were it me.

I hate soccer's annual kit changes. Now my David Luiz shirt will be outdated in a month.

I don't like that Henry and Werner aren't going to be in attendance tomorrow. The aesthetics are really bad. It's not just FA Cup semifinal but with Hillsborough tribute and the significance of the weekend, just doesn't look good. I know they will draw criticism in Boston if they were to attend, but as a Yankees fan, I really don't care about that. Besides, it's the first two weeks of the season--get a grip.

PFA Player of the Year nominees: Sergio Aguero (Man City), Joe Hart (Man City), Scott Parker (Tottenham), Robin van Persie (Arsenal), Wayne Rooney (Man Utd), David Silva (Man City).

No Dempsey, no Ba. Bad list!

A couple days old, but Dempsey finished fourth in the POY voting by the English Football Writers' Association.

Chelsea agreed to sign Marko Marin....I think I'm excited about this as a fan but I'm unsure. I've seen Marin play but not recently however he was great as a younger player and I think he's still in his early 20s. He's very small though so dunno about him in the Prem League. Other problem I have is that he's a good player but not a world class player...I'd be fine with this as a sub signing and maybe he grows into a starter. It does at least give a player to use on the left side.

English journalists came up with this: Nikica Jelavić scored 41 out of his last 44 goals in Scottish and English Premier leagues using first-touch.

Since coming to Everton, he scored 8 goals in 10 Premier league games while playing 692 mins which means he scores a goal every 86,5 mins and 3 goals in 3 games while playing 266 mins in FA Cup.

This is a pretty good time to be a Toffees fan.

FOX Sports Media Group announced today that it will show nine of the ten Premier League matches on the final day of the season across its family of networks. The unprecedented move by FOX means that for the first time in US television history, nine of the matches are being carried live simultaneously by one family of outlets. The tenth Premier League match played that day will be shown live on ESPN2.

Led by FX, FOX Sports Media Group (FSMG) networks SPEED, FSN, FUEL TV, FOX Soccer, FOX Soccer Plus and FOX Deportes, along with digital platforms FOXSoccer.com and FOX Soccer 2Go, are carrying all nine matches live on Sunday, May 13 at 10:00 AM ET. Pre-match coverage begins at 9:30 AM ET on all networks with the exception of SPEED, with all outlets carrying post-match coverage of this hallmark event.
