The Canucks are BC's team. We have enough great National teams to hang that title on.

Now I sure would like to see a Canadian final between the Canucks and the Senators- just 'cause!

1915 rematch plz.

Answer to this thread: If the Canucks and Senators were this year's SCF teams, Canada would get behind the underdog (read: Ottawa).

This "Canada's team" crap is so obnoxious. My friends are all onboard with it too.
The Olympics are the time for Nationalism. All my favourite players on my favourite [just so happens to be Canadian] team are Sweedish.

I couldn't have been happier when the Sens beat the Jets tonight to put them out of the playoffs and I'm no Canucks fan. But I agree with the earlier Canucks fan about this stuff being silly.

I'm a Canadian fan in BC who's never been to Ottawa but for some reason they're my team for perspective.

Of course the Ottawa Senators would be winning this poll. Canada loves underdogs.

Vancouver as Canada's team? hahah we were hated last year!! only Canadian fan base in large that wanted us to win was Hab fans and that's because they hate Boston, so much that Boston Pizza changed their name in Montreal to Montreal Pizza lol if Vancouver made it back we'll get hated on again, but I think Canuck fans have grown to love being hated and I think the team likes the hate too.

Neither.

A team built up of players from many countries =/= Canada's team, at least in my eyes.

God I hate when the Canadian media tries to force you to cheer for a Canadian team. **** that. Sens and Canucks are garbage I'd rather cheer for Nashville

Neither team is going to be "Canada's team". Leafs and Habs fans won't be cheering for Ottawa and Flames and Oilers fans won't be cheering for Vancouver, most Canadian fans whose teams don't make the playoffs would probably cheer for an American team before cheering for a rival.
If I had to pick one though I would say Ottawa just because they were supposed to finish dead last this year and it would make a good "underdog" story.

They dress 16; 17 if you count Horton.

Not from Canada:

David Krejci - Sternberk, CZE
Brian Rolston - Flint, MI, USA
Zdeno Chara - Trencin, SVK
Joe Corvo - Oak Park, IL, USA
Dennis Seidenberg - Schwenningen, DEU
Tim Thomas - Flint, MI, USA
