I'm not an Isles fan.

Yeah, right! As if Russia are going to say goodbye to international competitions...

The KHL already is an international competition. 7 countries involved right now. Just like the NHL has been sabotaging the World Championships for decades now, perhaps the KHL will one day likewise come to the conclusion that that tournament is no longer worth bothering about.

I want to see a doctors note.
Seriously.
I think he's lying and trying to stall so he can think up something else.

Look up sections 5.3 and 5.4, they are the ones you need to pay attention to.

You do know that just because Slovakia sucks in international hockey, Russia aren't going to forego it?

4 World Championships medals in a decade, including Gold, is hardly "suck". By the way, Lubo won 3 of those medals (including Gold).

Also, Slovakia was the 2nd best non-North American team at the Vancouver Olympics. We sent both Russia (with all its stars) and Sweden (with all its stars) home from that tournament. We were leading Finland after 2 periods in the bronze medal game, and only an incomprehensible breakdown in the final period gave bronze to Finland. Canada barely squeezed past Slovakia to reach the Olympic finals on home ice (watch the Demitra vs. Luongo showdown in the final seconds).

Yes but you are going to suck when those players keep getting older and older and you don't have junior stars coming up. Ergo, you suck(compared to Russia).

Seriously..
I did not know he was also a doctor that needed to treat his son (ethics?) instead of travelling by himself first to New York and having the family follow later.
