To be honest, seems like a lot of people just join in on the train to seem like they know what they're talking about in Toronto politics. It's a shame. He wasn't perfect, but he did a lot of good things. Media seemed to love to hate him, though.
Name those things please.

I didn't like Ford, but I was totally ready to give him a chance. There is no doubt the left gets a little out of control sometimes, and that is exactly why populist conservatives like him get elected on "gravy train" platforms.

Then when it comes time to actually govern, reality hits them and it turns out cutting the donuts and coffee from the office budgets of city councilors really doesn't accomplish squat.

At this point, I liken to Ford apologists to the typical internet phenomenon where, once something gets sufficiently big/small, people take the contrarian viewpoint just for the sake of it.

But again, I need to ask, since the Ford haters just want to "seem like they know what they're talking about in Toronto politics", please, in your learned perspective, tell me what good things Rob Ford has done since taking office.

Lol, I've never seen such a one sides discussion on this forum.
Ford was a moron. Contracting out jobs is a a way for him to look good, but in 5 years will cost the city more. As soon as GFL sees the city has sold all its garbage trucks you can guarantee the cost skyrockets. He's arrogant and entitled like a giant baby. And let's face it, he is far from an intellect. I was embarased to have him traveling around being the face of toronto. If rob ford ran the city like this I fear for his employees. I don't even know why he ran for mayor. He never seemed interested in anything, shirked responsibilities for his past times, didn't represent the city at huge events because he didn't feel like it, couldn't be bothered to even read the one book that tells him what he can or cannot do as a mayor or councilor... Was all this just a cloke and daggers scheme to get some pot holes filled by his place and some cash for his team than an early quick exit?? Maybe he's smarter than we all thought! Well played rob ford, well played indeed..
