As well, I thought the whole point of the NHL was to make money. Also something that hasn't worked that great in Phoenix.

I say at this point cut bait with Phoenix and let QC and Seattle try to outbid each other to ensure the most lucrative deal for the NHL. If QC wins, move to the Colisee next season until the new arena is finished. If Seattle wins, spend a few seasons in the Tacoma Dome, which can accommodate hockey, until the new Seattle arena is completed.

I doubt that. If he didn't have at least some backing, I doubt the NHL would have kept the team in Phoenix for the season.
