And that's a perfect example of rational irrationality. The fact of the matter is, you can count the number of fatal commercial aircraft accidents in the past decade on one hand. Far more people are killed by tornados in the US than in commercial aircraft accidents worldwide, but you choose to live at the tail end of the most dangerous tornado region in the world. Someone's doing a terrible job of managing their risks in that regard.
