Whatever feels more comfortable. Don't worry about your skills... they'll develop with time.

yea i think i'll go left handed when i start

my dexterity and control is way better with my right hand on top, which is crucial for stick handling. i think that'll benefit me the most in the long run

This thread again. 2/3 canadian hockey players shoot left, 2/3 of american born players shoot right. Why? It depends on what ur first sport is. If u are right handed and start with baseball or golf, u will most likely shoot right. When u hand a no sport child a hockey stick they will grab it with the dominant hand like they should at the top. Most ppl are right handed so most should shoot left. Since most kids in canada first play road hockey compared to baseball.. U see where this is going. U dont see goalies switching hands anymore when they get the puck
