Who are the two on in the morning with Hammer from like 6 to I believe 9? I actually enjoy listening to that on the way into work...and they're actually Sens fans.

I haven't listened to the Team1200 3-6 since York and Lloyd left. It's utter garbage consisting of either Simpson awkwardly laughing or mentioning his lame connections or the other idiot trying to be funny, but really not. Interspersed with that is Simpson talking about his wine tastes and his favourite bar (thanks Shawn, I'll avoid it forever for fear of meeting or hearing you).

The station needs a blowup and quick.

Keep JR, Steve, Lloyd, Versage, White (meh). Get rid of York, he's an airhead. Get rid of Jakubec and send him to a long, thorough anger management session. Dump Simpson and Gross, they are both awful.

Or better yet rebrand it to TSN1200, give us feeds from Montreal/Toronto/Winnipeg/FoxSports and throw in one hour or two of Senators coverage per day.
I thoroughly disagree with most things you said - simpson can be annoying sometimes but calling his connections lame is an idiotic thing to say - the guy spent more than a decade as director of hockey operations for an NHL team and you're going to insult his "connections"? Not to mention having been drafted into the NHL and playing on the Canadian World Junior team? Sure he can be annoying but man are you deluded if you think he doesn't have connections.

Re Yorkie: Jason York is the best guy on the Team 1200 and its too bad because he's going to end up being recruited for the big leagues eventually. I'm rarely if ever annoyed by him and he's usually dead on the money about things. And AJ ... well he does have anger issues and can be really annoying but I'm one of those people who prefer someone like that to someone bland..

....
Agree with you. I can see why some people wouldn't like Simpson's personality, but to dispute that he has real connections is just silly. Over the past few months they've had numerous interviews in the Drive timeslot with interesting / current hockey people who clearly know (perhaps like) Simpson and are on the show because he's asked them to.

Contrast that to Pierre McGuire who is always vaguely referring to GMs and Coaches in the league who "consult" with him, yet other than Scotty Bowman there are never any names attached.

Personally, I really enjoy Simpson. He's an articulate guy who has strong and interesting opinions on hockey and some other sports. I don't agree with everything he says and I sure don't laugh at many of his jokes, but I still enjoy listening to him.

York - Nashville, Boston fan
Gross - Boston, Toronto fan
Simpson - Washington fan
Versage - NJ fan
AJ - Oilers fan
Lloyd - probably the closest to a Sens fan, certainly not hardcore

How would Toronto or any other Canadian city handle a never-ending list of division rival fans running their postgame shows?
Do you really really find these guys to be biased negatively towards the Sens? If anything, I find the Team1200 personalities to be too forgiving of the Sens flaws.

Yorkie is goin prime-time VERY soon. He's gonna be off the TEAM completely soon and I for one will miss the hell outta him but am not surprised he's being scooped by theScore/SNet. He's not an ugly guy who has to be on radio and he's has a great personality. Plus, it'll be nice to have a Sens fan on the main stations

That is the last thing that should happen here. We already have almost no TV coverage of Ottawa teams or it is Ottawa from a Toronto point of view .This is exactly like the Friends of Lansdowne who were always saying that if we wanted football or shopping we could always go to Montreal or Toronto.

Pretty soon we will have a CFL and a soccer team so to cheer for in the summer.

I am more interested in hearing about how the 67's and Olympics are doing than more bumf about Toronto teams. I think we should have coverage of all sports and cities but from our perspective. Coverage of Toronto teams is all encompasing already we hardly need any more of it.

AJ is great. I think he is a Sens and Ottawa fan and is passionate and entertaining. I like most of the radio personalities now that Jim Jerome is gone, except for Dave Gross.

Simpson does this at times, but could do more.
Simpson is so opinionated... For seemingly no good reason... About everything!!!! I do not enjoy him.

York is good.

The Team needs to hire Donovan to do a show. He is great on post game and the time he is on.

Or even Todd White. Simpson is no real expert. He was a marginal prospect and a marginal executive. I don't think he offers much expert analysis.

Favorites by far are AJ, and Simpson. I will listen to a show if they are on. Listen to the drive the most. Think it's an excellent show. I like gross with simpson.
Also really like Macramalla.

In case anyone gives a ****

I like Simpson but can't stand his joking around. It is just not funny for listeners. He really tones down when they have Galley on and that is a good thing. He puts himself out front when he is with Gross because Gross is just a personality. Putting Simpson with Versage could work, not because Lee is amazing, just that he doesn't joke around when doing his show. I like opinionated hosts who debate sports than just one guy taking about himself and how great his opinion is.

I have no real problems with with any of the hosts right now other than Simpson's attempts at being funny.

I like hearing interviews with Sports journalists from CBC, TSN, The Hockey News and so on.

I think the station has improved over this time last year and do like the other shows they have incorporated into their line up.

That's why Yorkie is my favourite. He jokes around but almost everytime his joke has a point. He's a goofy fun loving insightful host. Pretty rare on the TEAM.

i find yorkie to be way off on his analysis' sometimes. and he definitely goes off topic more than most. those guys can ramble about anything for 10mins and it does not make for good radio imo. i don't care about their shirts, hot dogs, sandals, etc. especially when it is not funny.

Very happy with the weekend shows about the NHL. Some of us work weekends so it's nice to hear hockey talk.

Please don't stop.

I don't mind so much in the opening segment that they do the whole "how was your day" schtick. It's when it takes over large portions of segments.
