I would love to have Lu on the Leafs but I would not give up Schenn or even this years second rounder. I would love to know what a rational Canuck fan thinks Lu would fetch. I'm tired of dealing with the same people who ran the guy out of town, and are now trying to convince me he's worth a top 5 pick.
I would love to know what a rational Leaf fan thinks is fair because lets face it, without a solid goalie the Leafs are missing the playoffs again.

We do need a goalie, we just can't mortgage the future on one who's 33 and locked up for the next decade.

I remember hearing Ottawa tabled Havlat, Phillips, and Emery to Florida for Luongo, which was regarded as the better deal, but Keenan's love in with Bertuzzi got the trade done

Do you think you're a rational leaf fan? Just wondering

We'll see what Lu's worth soon enough. I think you guys are overvaluing him.

35th overall is a great pick. Not a high end prospect but it's basically a late first rounder. What would you want from the Leafs for Lu?

Anyone else notice Luongo's demise started happening as soon as we got rid of Mitchell and Ohlund? He played great in the 2007 playoffs with them in front of him. He needs defensemen that can move big bodies in front of the net and clear rebounds. If he has the right denfence in front of him he will surprise us next year.

#SNPlayoffs #Canucks Luongo asks for trade. Van didn't even need to ask him to waive NTC. He tells them himself in exit meeting he wants out
I suppose this ends all speculation about trading Schneider. The only option for them now is to move Roberto.

Could be so, none on the current D is very prominent around the crease.

Nope. The game he let in 7 against Chicago featured both Mitchell and Ohlund. Both of whom looked terrible.

In light of the Luongo trade thread, I think this one has run its course.
