Finally a point guard trade. Unfortunately its long been time for Fisher to go to the bench.
And they took Luke!

I remember when Luke had his one shining moment in the '04 Finals and was declared the new cult hero by Lakers fans.
Never heard of him after that game and honestly didn't know he was still in the league

The Lakers also sent Jason Kapono in the deal, so this was a true unloading of Laker garbage.

I liked Luke Walton both at the UofA and with the Lakers both as a player and a person.
Best of luck to him.
I hope this is the move that will give the Lakers Title #17.

The Lakers have traded Derek Fisher to the Rockets for Jordan Hill and a first-round pick, league source tells Y! Sports.

Lakers very active in the trade deadline today. Color me surprised, didn't really expect much activity during the NBA deadline today. It's pretty tame compared to the NHL one.

Fish is old and can't play anymore but I thought he would retire in purple and gold. Kobe's probably fuming.

kobe would play with hitler as pg if it got him another ring...winning is all that matters to him and fisher is d.o.n.e
end of a great run though if fisher is indeed gone, dude is all class and a hell of a competitor considering his limited skillset.

Kobe and Fish came in together and were extremely close. No doubt will he be pissed off, but I agree he's all about the jewelry.

espn updated the OP's link so fisher deal is in there now, as is kapono.
and idk, Kobe knows that his team just got better. i think had of traded gasol for some of the packages i was seeing then he would have been pissed.
these deals showed Kobe the front office thinks they can win this year, the offseason will be crazy though since i still think they will shop Gasol hard.

Kobe since he doesn't pass the ball anyway
I'm sure he is pissed but Fisher has been done for a couple years now
