Makes more sense for Dumont to play lots of minutes in Hamilton vs. healthy scratch in Montreal (which Blunden will likely be).

Kid showed he can play in the NHL, definitely can play on our 4th line next year.

I guess they felt there were too many rookies on the team and with Halpern up it made little sense to keep Dumont around. He'll be back for sure, he's the new Steve Begin.

I prefer to think of Steve Begin as the former Gabriel Dumont.
Hope to see him back soon. Dumont, not Begin.

This. Halpern is just what we need, though, and Dumont can't quite give the assurance of this level of play right now. Next season, though, he should be on the team. I would still try to sign Halpern, though. They are both good, and if we have to overlap roles for a year, not a big deal.

Bumping this thread because Dumont has been recalled. Isn't Hamilton in Texas? Hope he makes it for tonight's game.

Yep! Good for him, shows that tenacity any fourth line needs.
Now we have all day to guess at what the line up will look like

If he does well in this re-call he may establish himself as an NHL player. Go and make some noise Dumont.

I don't see why Halpern wouldn't play at center... Most likely it will be:
Moen-Halpern-Dumont

If Pleks is injured, Halpern will likley be promoted to the third line.

Aww, wanted to see Kristo. But to say Dumont hasn't earned it would be an understatement

Nice maybe tonight we can do three back to back straight from the face off fights.
Moen knock out.
Prust T.K.O.
White.. Un-tamed fists of fury rage fight.

We should have not fought. Philly were sleeping until that point. Then we got destroyed.

Agreed. Subban didn't really help that cause either though.

I really like Dumont. I think he can become what Lapierre should have been. A speedy, pesty, 4th line forecheck and PK menace, who excels on the draw. Plus he's not afraid to scrap even if he's just a lightweight.

Yeah he really reminds me of Lapierre, except Lapierre was much more annoying and was always backing down fights...at a certain point you have to drop them from time to time (which Dumont seems ok with). Also Lapierre tought too highly of himself and thats why he was shipped out of Mtl.. anyway go Dumont
