Probably best not to discuss at all if you think Demers is a bottom pair dman, and if you don't have the imagination to think you could flip Clowe if you want, then hey, that's not my deal. Clowe would certainly give your young forwards a lot more protection. Young forwards like that. And I never said Clowe, Demers was the best the Sharks could offer, I was only gauging value... Clearly, hit a nerve with some Flames fans.

Demers plays less than 17 minutes a night he isn't much better than a bottom pairing defense men. Why would we flip Clowe for younger players when we can trade Iggy for that on his own and should be worth more, if by name alone.
