How does he compare to Radek Faksa at the same age? His stats are similar...

Eurolanche (been pretty accurate concerning European rumours for the Avs) say that Zacha is getting a lot of interest from the Colorado Avalanche ~ Zacha's Agent.

I hope that whoever drafts him gives him a chance to develop properly, without pigeon-holing him into a wing role right away, just because he has the physical tools to play there in some capacity probably even next year. I would like to see that he is given a chance to develop into a #1 center and let his puck-support qualities develop a bit more. Really hope someone doesn't fall in love with his physical tools and utilizes him in a limited "win-now" wing role that ignores his development.

But how do you do that?

He's going to be in the NHL (iMO).

Lots of future C's, break in on the wing, even the elite (Giroux).

Colorado and Philly (close to his range) will likely slot him in on the wing.

I could see San Jose giving him a role in the middle, because I think Hertl makes more sense on the Wing.

I agree with you that you want to see if you can develop him as a C, but I think if he's good enough to make your team on the wing you do that as well.

It's a balance between being a contributor and doing what is the best for his development. I'm just saying that I hope he doesn't get pigeon-holed into a specific slot in a win-now mode where the development context gets underplayed.
