I finally paid off the last of my car loan 4 months in advance of when it was supposed to be done. Feels so ****ing liberating to have the car be mine! Owed 8K+ over 4 years. In all honesty, I hate owing money so much that I'm usually really good at paying off bills almost immediately.

We were super respectful and understanding and patient. Until this manager of Frontier walks up to me and tells me I'm wasting his time and inconveniencing him.

That ACTUALLY happened. It blew my mind. 3 to 4 minutes into the conversation at an empty gate, he told me "Frontier made the mistake, not me, so stop causing a scene because you're wasting my time and inconveniencing me."

Mind you, i never once raised my voice, used pejorative language or berated him. I was just trying to find out where my luggage was, and if he could help us get on the later flight (he did not know where my luggage was, and told me to figure it out, because I was a non-revenue flight).

Frontier...not exactly the best airline but you do get cheaper flights. Unfortunately, that just subjects you to more inconveniences, Then again ever since they deregulated the Airline industry it has been one big clustereffup. You get nickel and dimed and because of all the consolidation American consumers don't have much in options.

I had a five year no interest loan that will come to an end in Oct. I used their money but.....if I had invested that payment for 5 years it would have been better. I had the cash to pay it off but the no interest deal just made me go with the car payment. It will be nice not to have one for the next 5-6 years. I have low mileage on the car so should be good for another 5-6 years. By that time cars will mostly drive themselves.

I like new shiny things but I'm pretty good at holding onto cars..although I totaled my previous two cars earlier than I expected...
I hope to avoid that misfortune this time around. I mean some people go through life never totaling a car...I've totaled two without loss of life to me or anybody else...thank God! One was a flood in a Manayunk parking lot...umm the other I dozed off for maybe 3 secs and veered into a parked car with a girl just getting out of it and out of my way. I clipped her....could have been worse. Lesson learned...don't drive after an overseas flight where you basically didn't sleep the night before because you were out clubbing with foreign hot women.

Have a year left on my truck. Looking at potentially buying a 4runner next year.

When I bought this car (13 Ford Fusion) my previous car (06 Mustang) had already been paid off for about 3 years, and the dealer gave me 8000 trade in for the Mustang which was awesome, I hope to hold on to this one for longer though.

Linkin Park was definitely a big part of childhood. RIP Chester. Goddamn that sucks.

And for the car loan, I got my car in Oct of 2013. I have paid my dues and was never late on a payment.

Same here. Meteora was the first album I ever bought as a 10 year old.

My car will be paid off at the end of this year. Counting down the months til the last payment. I also had a 5 year, no interest loan from the dealer. Once this final payment is made, money that was going to the car will now be going to pay off the student loans faster. It just never ends.

I guess we all knew he had some issues with drugs and alcohol, but what a dam shame.

As some people have mentioned elsewhere, he was really broken up about Cornell's death. Today was Cornell's birthday and Chester went out the same way Cornell did...
