I'm certainly not using betting odds. Just because of the controversy, I'd argue that Argo has a MUCH better chance than ZDT.

They let those stupid little skits like the Wil Ferrell one drag on and on, yet major award winners get cut short.

When will these shows ever learn?

Yeah, poor Kathryn Bigelow was married to James Cameron

I wasn't aiming the odds comment at you, just reinforcing my point, which was obviously not crystal clear

Oh yeah I definitely agree, I was just making a point haha. Anyways we'll never know if Les Misérables is second or ninth, but I just can't see it being second.

It's not gonna get any better. Seth McFarlane is hosting the Oscars. Expect a truckload of rehashed Family Guy skits and... hmm... err, "jokes" next month

Hey, it COULD come in second, but no way it's winning Best Picture.

If it does, I'm burning all my Oscars and Golden Globes.

(little-known fact: I'm Daniel Day-Lewis)

here's a site a friend recommended to me. This is updated from after the globes

http://www.bet365.com/home/FlashGen4...sp?lng=1&tid=1

He said before the globes that Argo was slightly ahead of Les Mis, and now its quite a ways in front. Take what you will from betting odds, but its clear that Les Mis is among the top contenders.

I have no earthly idea how Django Unchained won best screenplay over Argo or Zero Dark Thirty. Most of the other winners were about what I expected (Argo for Best Drama was a surprise, but not an unpleasant one) but that one blew me away at how far off the mark it was. In my humble opinion.

I don't understand Argo's victory at all. A spectacular story told in such an unspectacular fashion.

Hes fantastic hosting thsoe Comedy Central roasts. I bet he does a great job. I think people will be pleasantly surprised, he seems so natural on those, I was shocked at how good he was.

He did a few in a row and then when they had a different host on the Roseanne roast, Jane Lynch who could not have been any worse, I really paid attention to how a good host is important in the pacing on these shows.

His being able to ad lib helps a ton.

Was it at the Oscars or the Emmys were he was presenting an award or something and was going to start speaking in the wrong spot on stage, when he got to the right spot, he said with Stewie voice: "This is what happens when you don't show up at rehearsals..."

ZDT script is nothing special. I thought Argo should've won

Just got finished watching it on the DVR. I still think Game of Thrones should at least have been in the building last night.

I respect the decision for Ben Affleck to win best director, but I don't think Argo should have won best picture.

I don't watch Girls, but it's a really awesome thing to see someone's dream become a reality right in front of your own eyes, and you could really tell how much winning meant to Lena Dunham; and how important the awards she took home last night were to her.

Thought Amy and Tina did a very good job.

How in the blue hell did Wolverine beat Bradley Cooper? Did Les Mis win awards just because it was les mis?

Les Mis was a bad movie, but not because of Jackman. He was very, very good. I'm surprised he won over Cooper given that the odds have seemed to be in Cooper's favor since October, but it's not a travesty or anything.
