Bozak + 2nd for Staz wasn't a running joke for no reason.
Although looking back at it now would have been a great deal for the aves compared to what they got. i kid i kid

Curious, why "King Joffrey"?

Why would the Leafs have any interest in Landy right now? The forward core is good. If we are spending assets it is on the defensive core. Besides the asking price for Landy is way to steep right now considering his recent production has been down every year and his contract. Colorado is better off to hold onto someone like him and let him bounce back next year.

His production has been down for one year and his contract is very reasonable given his production prior to this past season. 65 point pace in 2014, 59 point pace in 2015, 58 point pace in 2016, and then a 38 point pace this past year.

It's funny, every time we used that bolded word when discussing JVR, we were told that we could only talk in absolutes...not pace.

Not with me; but in defense of those folks you did have these discussions with, there is a difference between talking about pace during a 72 or 75 game season, and talking about pace during a 40 or 48 game season. The former just filters out the handful of missed games, while the later involves taking a half season's worth of data and extrapolating it over a full year.

Among those 3 seasons of 'pace' calculations, landeskog missed 8 games, total.

So why not just post his actual point totals?

Well, cgf pretty much did. It's just that 7 of the 8 games missed, were in one season.
65 points in 81 games
59 points in 82 games
53 points in 75 games.

He typed "pace" for the first 2 seasons when he really didn't need to

Extrapolating 7 games is reasonable. And the reason it was done was to counter the constant, he's been regressing for 4 straight years argument, that's clearly not true.

People seem to omit info that doesn't help their case when they're making an argument.

And if that happens I'd see what sort of sweeteners Yzerman would want along with Barrie for Drouin first...but let's see the Avs move a forward for Faulk and draft Heiskanen first.

Keep dreaming. Nothing on the Avs roster gets you even remotely close to Nylander.

Yeah disregard the above.
That deal is highway robbery for the Leafs.
Done.
