Pirate streams now collapsing in the course of the 2nd period; perhaps too many viewers from Slovakia try to access them. Picture now remains frozen for stretches of 5 seconds or so, the entire period.
But that's not the point. The point is, TV cameras are there, and it should have been the KHL's basic obligation to offer that broadcast for purchase at khl.ru.
LOL, new, very stable, but extremely bad-quality picture UStream launched now... Looks like watching some archive hockey footage from the 1960s... The picture looks almost black-and-white, "washed-out colours" is an understatement. Definitely better than nothing, though. Most importantly, Slovan in the lead, 1-0.
Someone's living-room or kitchen sounds can be heard over the UStream hockey broadcast. Someone's eating over there, opening beer cans, whatever. The guy seems to be cheering on Barys, too.
Congratulations, KHL. Games like this will certainly help improve your image.
dude, and you dared to critise Slovan´s PR ? What the hell is that nonsence you just said - of course noone is going to learn russian just to buy KHLs product - in fact, KHL should learn slovakian if they really wants to sell something to Slovak audience, otherwise they can **** off.
I have a feeling you dont understand KHL broadcasting policy. I wrote about it earlier, dont remeber if Torpedo or Severstal, but there was no broadcasting from club´s home arena. Why? Bad equipment, problem with local tv etc. KHL haś minimal conditions for broadcasting. If club does not fullfill them, no broadcasting. Some way of punishment/ pressure on club. Arena in Astana is worst of all. Club gave a promis when joining KHL back in 2008. To build new arena within a few years. Nothing happened. Maybe KHL make pressure on club by not broadcasting their games in KHL TV and in net? Better no broadcasting this season than Barys playing at old arena next decade. So simple.
It is not as simple as fans use to think.
There must be a reason, we dont know about, why Barys home games are not at khl.ru/KHL TV. I would say it has something to do with TV crews in Astana.
Lets have a look. Only 7 home games of Barys are in khl website archive.
There was a discussion in past with Loko v Slovan game when broadcasting was not good. No Rossiya2 crew at game. Can it be an explanation with Barys? I dont know but it make sense. Would be great if anybody has details. If signal is made by Astana TV, no khl website. If signal is made by other crew, then khl website stream. Think about it.

Aaaand that's why you should learn Russian, Faterson.
ROFL... Košice is not in the KHL, but Košice cable TV introduces KHL TV... while us in Bratislava get nothing.
To make that right next season, Košice should get a KHL team and us KHL TV. I can imagine nothing better than KHL TV to raise interest in Russian language (again) in Slovakia.
