AV is simply a better coach than anyone available. You guys would be okay with MacT coaching the Canucks? I wouldn't.
One of Schneider and Luongo are gone. Luongo is a solid goalie but Schneider is younger and for that reason I want him to stay. It just makes more sense. I think Tampa would be a great place for him, especially since he would be back in Florida.

Why does everyone assume Tampa will want Lou? Now don't get me wrong Lou is a great goalie, and a significant improvement on what Tampa has but why would Tampa pursue Lou? If the price people think is going to be dirt cheap as many Canuck fans seem to believe then New Jersey would be the main choice. I can see Broduer retiring this year, and NJD will be actively pursuing a goalie this year. If Broduer doesn't retire this year, he will next for sure. NJD has 20+ million in cap room at the end of this season, with huge priorities on Parise and goalie.
Tampa will be looking for a younger goalie. Schneider, Bernier, blah blah ... you know all of them by now. But the reason a younger goalie is to develop with younger players with the team. Having Stamkos, Hedman, Conacher, Panik, and Aulie hopefully reaching full potential in a couple years having a younger goalie who is also hitting his prime at that time would make Tampa frightening.
And there is no need for a fire sale in Vancouver. Coaching change maybe though. Having a fire sale this year would be like buying a new car because you got a flat tire. Missing your number 1 goal scorer, having Keslar playing like crap and diving all over the ice, and having the defence playing like total crap are Vancouver's downfall as of right now. On the good side though they have been getting chances, playing a good cycle, but without Daniel it's hard to put in the puck. Plus Quick = Brick Wall. The biggest stand out for Vancouver was Lou in games 1 and 2. He did all he could but the defence failed him. In game 3 the defence still had shaky moments but it was 100% better than games 1 and 2. Schneider played great, but he IMO had more help than Lou did.
