Vancouver is having a hard time scoring a goal vs. Edmonton at the moment,

I understand everyone loves being a masochist around here but I think we can we give beating up on our own team a rest for the evening.

Vancouver or STL is irrelevant, we will likely have to beat both in the first 2 rounds. Id be amazed if the Sharks can take 1 game off either
I always like the fact of two a-hole teams squaring off right away; that means at least one a-hole team gets eliminated. In a perfect world, this would be Detroit and Vancouver in the West. But San Jose and Vancouver would be a close second, so I will be hoping Vancouver outlasts Edmonton and the Kings win this game.
A good example out East is Pittsburgh and Philly, which a lot of people are having a good time with.

Heh... Everyone but Philly fans. Talk about a nightmare match-up for them.

Absolutely uncalled for. My post was an observation, not "beating up on the team." I am one of the most optimistic posters on this board, as I am sure you have observed over the past couple of years.
As a matter of fact, I have been quite pleased the last six weeks, as the Kings have been one of the hottest teams in the league. I am thinking we have a real shot to go deep this season...just need that mental toughness as I mentioned before and ratchet up our defense to match our resurgent offense.

That wasn't your post I replied to.

We will win tonight's game and the division loss soley falls upon the refs. Coyotes don't deserve ****. I could care less if we get 7th or 8th.
Ya don't think the Kings blowing games they should've won or their OT/SO losses didn't have anything to do with where they are now? Blaming it on the refs is an excuse losers make.

I'm talking about the last game that got national coverage that makes the NHL look bush league. 1 point. I don't care about your cynical lgk comments.
Wow, Purcell with the hat trick tonight. Finished 24 goals 41 assists 65 points and a +9 on a team with some -20's. Impressive, good for him regardless of his linemates.

Yeah, but more importantly, how is his board play? Stupid Terry Murray...
Umm not really. Murray was the one who refused to give him much of a chance in the first place. What's the point of keeping someone on the roster who your coach isn't going to use?
Terry Murray wanted Purcell to be a grinder. Purcell had zero confidence in his game thanks to Murray's misuse of him, to the point where he had little to no value. Purcell thus became an expendable part and Lombardi had no other choice but to move a player who was not being used by his coach.

It was DL who didn't have a RW spot open and therefore Purcell had to play out of position.
Just to be clear, I'm not saying that Smith didn't have a great season, but when you take everything into account, The Kings would be a lottery team if not for Quick. If that's not "MVP" I don't know what is.
Congrats on the division championship by the way, I didn't think you guys would win both games, but you stepped up big when you had to, something the Kings can never seem to do.
Thanks. Now that all 5 teams are relatively competitive, (all of) the fanbases in the Pacific have been nasty to eachother, but I have a soft spot for you guys because I remember when both of our teams were the jokes of the division for what felt like forever.
