No, but that doesn't apply here so no reason to even talk about it.

Was expecting 2-3 games so 4 seems slightly too much but can understand why.

I'm upset every time they do it. Penalty should be for the action, not for the result.
It should also be predictable.
Something like:
Cross check to head - 1 or 2 games
Shoulder to head 4-8 games
Elbow to head 10-20 games
2nd offense - 1.25 x number of games
3rd offense -- 2.00 x number of games
etc

So when should we be hearing about the Alfredson suspension....oh wait, stupid question, it's perfectly legal to cross-check another players face 2 to 3 times because your face isn't attached to your head....Shanahan's a joke.

It's definitely a Kronwall-esque "borderline" charge, but Kronwall's never hurt anybody with his slightly jumpy hits either.

It is all about the name on the back of the jersey. I thought this was already common knowledge and accepted league wide.

Thank you.
When I read his post I was so confused at how someone could not see what you just said.

Now that is some major BS. When he hit Voracek if I remember correctly he was out for a week or so.

Flyers fans actually think there's an "anti-Flyers bias"?

I thought it was a little bit excessive but after seeing the video I changed my mind, good explanation, solid reasoning...good decision by Shanny.

Voracek was flopping around like a fish after that, but he did say that it was a legal hit. Or at least one that shouldn't be taken out of the game.
As for the suspension, it doesn't bother me, but they certainly went about it as if they didn't rescind the game misconduct from the other night.

Yea shannaban is so inconsistent when it comes to fair suspensions. Schenn gets one game and HZ gets four games. Makes no sense because I see the Schenn hit as alot worse then the HZ hit. Watching this hit live was epic. The "Ohhhhhhhh" was the greatest thing to hear after it happened.

I saw shanabans video, he did jump off his feat so I agree with the suspension.

Agree
This is the exact type of dirty hit the NHL is trying to eliminate. Textbook case Suspension is not too many games

fine with the suspension, but 4 games seems a bit high considering previous rulings for a first time offender, I was thinking 2. I suppose that's where the whole 4th line player comes in.
