Saw Main Event with Brad Maddox on commentary... good god that was entertaining. This guy needs a bigger role in the company.
"If a slobberknocker is slobberknocking, I'm going to call it as such."
"I am the WWE's resident... quadruple threat."
"This is the WWE this is where the best come to rumble around!"
"The Royal Rumble coming up in a couple of months."
"We have to get a word with our sponsor. WRESTLEMANIA 13... the world's largest homemade submarine race. WrestleMania 13... where homemade submarine racing begins... again."
"Heavyweight Championship tag team belts on the line, here we go!"
Maddox is great.
Michael Cole is trying so hard to not laugh in the background. Michael Cole telling Maddox to call the action in the ring is ironic.

so, combined with Big E Langston licking his fingers before giving the Big Finish to Hornswoggle on Smackdown and his exchange with AJ on twitter, is Big E supposed to be a creepy dude?

Once you start antiquing, you cannot stop antiquing. In other news, I am certainly going to die alone.
Big E Langston @BigELangston
@WWEAJLee Don't worry, Miss AJ. I plan on awkwardly lurking in the background for years to come. #LifeInTheFriendZone
A.J. @WWEAJLee
@BigELangston You're like a sister to me.
Big E Langston @BigELangston
"@WWEAJLee: @BigELangston You're like a sister to me." Does that mean we have to pillow fight and share undergarments?
A.J. @WWEAJLee
@BigELangston For the last time, I don't share my underwear, so please stop trying to steal it out of my luggage.
11h Big E Langston @BigELangston
@WWEAJLee This verbal repartee has quickly turned for the worst. If only there was some sort of swift exit I could make...Look! a puppy--
A.J. @WWEAJLee
@BigELangston WHERE?!?
not the typical big man...
(and Big E does have bigger **** than AJ, so I can see why she looks at him like a big sister...)
There's been a lot of speculation as to why Alberto Del Rio was made World Heavyweight Champion, but the real story behind the scenes is that Big Show could not come to terms with WWE on a new contract. Since Big Show's contract was running out, WWE Chairman Vince McMahon made the decision to crown Del Rio the new champion. At the time of the taping in Miami, that was actually considered potentially to be Big Show's last match in WWE. Later in the week, the company and Big Show came to terms, and he hasn't missed any shows.
We heard from one source on the writing team that the company was very angry the negotiations went all the way to the breaking point, but now that Del Rio has been crowned champion "the plans have changed, as Del Rio is the focus of the show going forward."
Just putting this here since it's the most active thread. A great read written by Tom Prichard about the state of wrestling today.

Someone asked me if pro wrestling has become passe and taken over by MMA. I don't think so. I think sports entertainment needs to find their new stars and put the spotlight on them. I also think they need to let talent try things on their own and see if they can pull off being themselves using their own words and mannerisms instead of relying on a writer to do it for them. I realize not everyone is capable yet but that's what developmental is for! Too many times guys and girls get called up before they're ready only to fizzle out.
WWE is going through that transition phase and it may take some time but now is the time to build new stars while new fans are watching. No one can predict what the next big thing or fad will be but there is talent out there ready to break the door down. They just need to find it and kick it in!
I'm enjoying Del Rio's work more as a face. I've never doubted his in ring ability, but it seems like he's picked it up another notch as a face. He's one of the very few guys on today's roster that I look forward to watching perform in the ring.

WWE asking about spoilers but they spoil things themselves.
That's probably why they are doing a survey about it to see if that's an avenue they should continue down.
If the number of people who read "spoilers" is that high, then it could be in WWE's best interests to continue exploring doing that themselves and getting people to go to them for the spoilers rather than other sources.
