Well, when Ristolainen was last moved to the AHL (on paper), the player coordinator of his team in FEL once again said in the media that he can't actually play in the AHL. Unless the Sabres have sorted this out with TPS, I would not be surprised if they contacted the IIHF, accusing the Sabres of trying to circumvent the transfer agreement. As far as TPS are concerned, Ristolainen is their contract player and can only play in Buffalo or Turku. We shall see what happens.
Considering the stuff that comes out of the mouth of TPS front office these days, it would not suprise me if Vuori doesn't know full details. To my knowledge (based on some Swedish players recently), if the player wants to go AHL and the his former team has no objections, it is possible. Though as I said, TPS is in such a mess these days, that they probably would force Ristolainen to play for them(which considering the state of the team would mean going from a bad team to an equally bad team).
Doesn't matter, this is hockey... Trades and similiar s*it just happens.
I think TPS should just just war to get him back, it will end up on "free" 200 000$ or so.. If they don't even try... what an idiots! The contract is on their side, im sure buffalo won't make problem out of it.
