Uh, because he's the guy out there the most on the PP?
I understand that but the coaching staff are the ones that have him do the retarded go to the slot thing and ribeiro is the one that sits on the halfway with he puck for 45 seconds of every powerplay, don't get me wrong... I'm not trying to absolve him of blame but he is the #3 reason at best that the powerplay isn't working
umm Steve Begin wasn't bad here, he was definitely better than Doug freaking Janik. (not that is very important to this thread)
really mixed bag from me on Nieuwy. Some of his moves have been awesome, some have been really suspect. I wouldn't be disappointed in the slightest if he was gone tomorrow. (not going to happen)
Is he better than Jackson/Ambassador of fun? Sure. Is he better than Army? Debatable.
Nagy experiment would have been better if we hadn't just traded another 1st for mr Boss Norstrom, Nagy still had knees, wasn't a floater, didn't play such a similar game to most of the rest of that team.
I'd still rather take a chance at a cup over something that could be a glennie pick

Norstrom was worth acquiring, considering how important he was during Zubov's absence in 2007-08. Nagy was a floater. He sucked ass even when he moved to L.A. in the off-season.

Don't see how it would've made that experiment any better. Nagy was not going to help us win a Cup and he proved it. Dude was awful.
Norstrom went back home to Sweden after the 07-08 season I believe.
No idea where Nagy is now. Went to LA the "year" after he played for us. Wasn't Nagy in on one of those collapses against LA in 07/08? Believe he had a game winner or at least a tying goal.
I never thought Nagy was as bad as people slammed him for and never thought Norstrom was as good as people praised him for.
The problem with Nagy is that he wasn't the kind of player the Stars needed. Adding another soft, pass-first forward to that group made them no better at all.
Oh yeah, it was definitely the wrong move to make. But you'd think that Nagy was an incompetent buffoon incapable of doing anything right on the ice from some of the reactions to his tenure here.

Nagy was a quietly above average NHL player for most of his career, but that does pretty accurately sum up his tenure in Dallas.
Never should have traded neal unless Pitt gave up Letang , period-We know Neal was not shopped. There are numerous comments that said certain teams did not even know he was available. Would he have brought Alzner or carlson, J. Johnson Byfuglien who knows but we traded a top line winger for a #3-4 d-man at best-He also botched 2 coaching hires and resigned guys like petersen Barch etc to multi year deals-brutal period

I don't know about the "certain teams did not even know he was available" bit, but it is obvious that had we dealt him to LA, or any WC team, the asking price would be steep (just look at what JN asked from Chicago for Grossmann).

He was pretty incompetent in a Dallas uniform, much like Willie Mitchell was.
I've basically liked all the signings; the ones I haven't have been short-term, low-dollar gap-fillers. Our goaltending situation is taken care of, and we've got some young goal scoring. His draft picks look good so far, they should start arriving in the next year or so. New ownership hopefully means we'll spend closer to the cap and be a real player in free agency. GMJN gets an "Up" vote in my book.
