Not if they feel he will re-sign with them. UFA players usually go for the money and or to a contender which Nashville definitely is.

Enstrom may be more inclined to re-sign with the Predators as they are closer to winning it all than the Jets who are a few years away from being a solid playoff team.

Consensus seems to be that the Jets would have to overpay to keep most pending UFA's around unless they have really taken a liking to the Organization/city.

Didn't realize he was a UFA. I don't think I'd send Wilson for the rights to a free agent we can make a run for in July 1

He's an UFA in 2013, not this offseason.

Oh, alright, no wonder that caught me by surprise. Everyone was talking like it was this year.

In that case, Wilson+ makes a lot of sense to me. Willy is a hometown boy, and I can see him fitting in beautifully with your young top 6 guys (Burmi, Kane, etc.). The only issue I see is he, Kane, and Ladd all play a power-forward ish game, and, while it's never a problem to be too big, tough, and physical, I'm not sure if he's the kind of player you would be targeting. But I don't know your team that well.

Blum as the plus could work, with maybe a pick or depth player thrown in on your side. Blum is a very good puck-mover, and his ceiling is probably about where Enstrom is right now.

He plays wing almost excluively. Hasn't played center for a few seasons now.

I'd prefer not to lose both, unless another roster forward (Burmi, for instance) was coming back our way.

Yeah I get that its to much to give up from a roster perspective at one time. Could Wilson return to center? Or was there a major problem and hence he was moved. Jets could use some size down the middle Burmi and Little are both around 5-11 a Center depth chart of Little-Wilson-Burmi-Slater-Cormier would be pretty nice, missing that #1 guy but with the cap space WPG has they could make a run at any of the elite UFA centers on the market in 2013.

I'm sure he could. We have Legwand, Fisher, Wilson, Smith, Spailing, and Gaustad all at center, so someone had to move. His face-off skills may be a little rusty, but I don't see why we couldn't go back.

Little is another guy I'd love to get.

The problem with giving up Hornqvist and Wilson both is that they are the two closest things we have to power forwards. It creates a huge toughness gap, and no one else will really go to the front of the net (Hornqvist does that more than Wilson). We would have to go out and get a replacement for Hornqvist, and at that point its easier to just keep him.

Makes sense, Jets need a RH winger badly Wellwood has done ok but hes streaky and can disappear for weeks. Having Wilson at Center would allow Burmi to develop down in the #3 C role, a role for which his current skills are best suited. If he can develop into a solid top 6 center great if not he would be an above average #3 who can play the shutdown role.

enstrom makes the most sense out of the three for winnipeg to trade for the sole reason that he is under team control for the shortest amount of time. after next year he could leave, and almost every team in the league would be happy to make room for him despite the fact that from the games i've watched he is having a bad season (by his standards at least). if winnipeg decides to move one of their defensemen, enstrom makes the most sense.
