Think of all the Cups.

Backstrom-Galchenyuk-MacKinnon as our 3 centers.

Galchenyuk + Nathan (some french name that starts with a B) + a 1st for Ovi.

Not going to lie, I would consider it.
Not enough for Ovechkin.....

If somebody like St. Louis were to offer, say, Tarasenko/Berglund/Pietrangelo for Ovechkin/Green I'd consider, but the Blues would never do that

There sure were a lot of empty seats during the last 2 games.

Trading Ovechkin is meh.

Maybe when he's older and nothing works with him. The team getting him would have to give up significant value and have enough pieces in place to build around him and fast. Ovi doesn't want to sit on Columbus while guys like Derrick Brassard share ice time with him.

It would be like Rick Nash x 100. If any Caps GM simply mentions "Ovechkin" and the word "trade" in one sentence Leonsis would fire them.

Who wants a 10m player who scores sub 70 points, plays one-dimensional hockey and doesn't work hard?

Toronto?

There are always a handful of teams who think a simple move to a different city will reboot the player. It often does work.

On a side note, no to Drouin. We'd just be restarting the cycle.
