So if Quenneville is nominated, why not Bylsma? And my personnal opinion on the matter is that neither of them should be there. I think Therrien, Boudreau and McLean should be the three nominees.

Their current record was to be expected? Is this f'ing serious?
Of all the predictions and expectations, I can guarantee that if someone said the Hawks would be 30-5-4 at this point they would be laughed off the board. I don't think you realize how special the Hawks season has been. Remember that this team finished as the 6th seed last year and the 8th seed before that. They are a +46 right now after 39 games. That is insane.
The "on-pace" maybe will show you
-39 Games, 30 Wins, 5 Losses, 4 OTL, 64 Points, 129 Goals For, 83 Goals Against, +46 Goal Differential
Hawks "on pace" for...
-
82 games, 63 Wins, 10 Losses, 9 OTL, 135 Points, 271 Goals For, 174 Goals Against, +97 Goal Differential
Last Years Presidents Trophy Winner(Canucks), for reference point...
-82 games, 51 Wins, 22 Losses, 9 OTL, 111 Points, 249 Goals For, 198 Goals Against, +51 Goal Differential
24 point difference. The difference between the Canucks being the 1st seed with the best record in the NHL(111 points) to missing the playoffs entirely and finishing 11th in the Conference. Yes, I realize these are only "on pace" statistics but the season is almost over and as a shortened season is concerned...completely relevant IMO.
Yes, surely this was expected...lmfao.
